Evan Addison '18 Sets New School Record in the Mile

Addison ran school-best a 4:15.74 at the New Balance Indoor Nationals in New York City.

Senior captain Evan Addison broke the La Salle College High School Indoor School Record in the Mile on Sunday at the New Balance Indoor Nationals at the Armory Track & Field Center in New York City. Addison's time of 4:15.74 placed him 4th in section 1, and 14th overall in the National Championship.

Addison had to fight through the crowded field during the second half of the race and closed his final 400m extremely well to set a new lifetime best. His time bested the 4:16.42 that Tom Coyle ran in 2012 in his runner-up finish at the 2012 PTFCA Indoor State Championship (Coyle is now a sub-4:00 miler and All-American for Stanford University).

The Explorers and now in full swing training for the spring season, and will open their Outdoor Track & Field season at home on Monday, April 2nd.
