Golf Team Wins Fourth Consecutive Philadelphia Catholic League Championship

The Explorers defeated Saint Joseph's Prep by 2 strokes to win their 16th golf championship since 2000.

On Tuesday, October 2, 2018, the Golf Team won their fourth consecutive Philadelphia Catholic League Championship and their 16th title since 2000 (2018, 2017, 2016, 2015, 2013, 2012, 2010, 2009, 2008, 2007, 2006, 2005, 2003, 2002, 2001, and 2000). The Explorers overall score of 457 was 2 strokes better than Saint Joseph's Prep and 29 strokes better than Devon Prep. Juniors Steve Lorenzo and Matt Lafond, along with freshman Luke Corcoran, each fired 3-over par rounds of 74 at LuLu Country Club to lead the way. Senior Matt Law, junior Griffin Caulfield, and freshman Darren Nolan all posted rounds under 80 and rounded out the scoring for La Salle. The Explorers will compete for the District 12 (City) Championship on October 9, 2018 at J.C. Melrose Country Club.
