La Salle College High School's Information Sciences and Technology Department is joining schools around the country in celebrating Computer Science Education Week.
The IST Department at La Salle offers over 20+ computer science courses covering networking, program and digital design and offers on-site industry-level certifications through a ten-year partnership with Certiport.
Our technology program ensures all students become lifelong, independent, dynamic learners and contributors to their communities. We strive to develop high performance technology environments where students learn to apply information, solve real-world problems, and work cooperatively with their peers, teachers and administrators. La Salle's focus on the values of integrity and respect are reflected in our emphasis on digital citizenship.
Computer Science Education Week (CSEdWeek) is an annual program dedicated to inspiring K-12 students to take interest in computer science. Originally conceived by the Computing in the Core coalition, Code.org® organizes CSEdWeek as a grassroots campaign supported by 350 partners and 100,000 educators worldwide.
La Salle will be highlighting various areas of our technology department on Social Media during CSEdWeek. If you are a member of the La Salle Community and would like to lend expertise to our department through field trips, guest speakers, or mentoring, fill out the our interest form.
