Jake Sannem '17 Heading to Olympic Trials
The junior swimmer who won the State Championship in the 500 Freestyle, also captured an Olympic Trial cut for the 200 Freestyle and will be competing at the Olympic Trials this summer.
Jake Sannem '17 has had one fantastic swim season. He was named the first recipient of the Frank J. Lichtner Memorial Award for his 500 Freestyle first place win at the Philadelphia Catholic League Championship in February. At the Pennsylvania State Championship at Bucknell, Jake not only won the gold medal in the 500 Freestyle race, but he broke the state record that had been in place since 2009. In addition to his State Championship, Jake captured his Olympic Trial cut for the 200 Freestyle LCM event and will be traveling with Greg Brocato '16 this summer to Omaha, NE to participate in the 2016 Olympic Trials for swimming.
