La Salle Remembers Victims Of Florida School Shooting
The morning prayer included the seventeen names of the victims of the recent shootings at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Florida.
On Wednesday, March 14, 2018, La Salle Students, Teachers, Staff and Administrators commemorated the first month anniversary of the tragedy at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Florida..
During the school-wide morning prayer, the student prayer reader read a short prayer and Gospel reflection: "Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good." (Romans 12:21). The student concluded the prayer by reading the seventeen names of the victims of the shootings in Florida.
During the day, there will be Communion Services during the lunch periods in the Marian Chapel and our Religion classes will lead discussions and reflections on the statement from the United States Catholic Conference of Bishops on the Florida: http://www.usccb.org/news/2018/18-046.cfm
