La Salle Community:

Let us remember... We are in the Holy Presence of God.

With understandably human sadness but with faith that bridges every separation, I write to inform you that our colleague on the faculty at La Salle College High School, Mr. Frank Lichtner, has entered eternal life after a long struggle with cancer. Those of us who knew Mr. Lichtner, particularly those who had direct experience of him as a teacher or coach, will have many stories to tell of his investment, his expertise, his self-effacing, student-focused demeanor. After a quarter century at La Salle, Frank leaves an incredible legacy both in the stature of our swimming program and in the lives and achievements of its alumni.

Mr. Lichtner's family will receive visitors Tuesday morning October 13th between 9 and 11 a.m. at Our Lady Help of Christians Church, 1525 Elkins Ave., Abington, Pa. A funeral mass will follow at 11 a.m.

Interment will be private. Frank will also be celebrated this Saturday October 10th at his induction into the coaching division of La Salle's Hall of Athletes.

We are all confident that as Frank comes before the God who loved him into being and has now called him back to Himself, as he stands on deck, clip board in hand as always, he is hearing the words of Matthew's Gospel, "Well done, good and faithful servant....enter now into your Master's joy."

Saint John Baptist De La Salle, Pray for Us.

Live Jesus in Our Hearts, Forever.
