Over 300 sophomores and juniors along with their parents attended a prayer service and commissioning ceremony on Tuesday, May 17, 2016.

Over 300 sophomores and juniors along with their parents attended a prayer service and commissioning ceremony on Tuesday, May 17, 2016. Each of the students will be participating in one of fourteen voluntary summer service trips being offered this summer in four different countries and seven states. The service opportunities are:

Urban Immersion No. 1 (Philadelphia, PA) - May 29, 2016 to June 3, 2016
Project Appalachia (Franklin County, WV) - May 29, 2016 to June 4, 2016
Urban Immersion No. 2 (Philadelphia, PA) - June 5, 2016 to June 10, 2016
Puerto Rico Mission Trip - June 5-11, 2016
Operation Gulf Coast (New Orleans, LA) - June 5-11, 2016
Operation Desert Son (Coachella Valley, CA) - June 11-18, 2016
Urban Immersion No. 3 (Philadelphia, PA) - June 12-17, 2016
Caribbean Mission Trip (Saint Lucia) - June 18-25, 2016
Navajo Nation (Arizona and New Mexico) - June 19-25, 2016
NYC Urban Plunge (Bronx, NY) - June 19-24, 2016
Urban Immersion No. 4 (Philadelphia, PA) - July 10-15, 2016
Building Bridges of Solidarity (Bolivia) - July 10-22, 2016
Urban Immersion No. 5 (Philadelphia, PA) - July 17-22, 2016
Blackfeet Immersion (Browning, MT) - July 31, 2016 to August 6, 2016

The evening began with a prayer service in the gymnasium celebrated by Reverend Carl Janicki, Director of Campus Ministry at Cabrini College in Radnor, PA. Father Janicki administered the service oath and, following the prayer service, each of the service trips met together along with their group leaders. The parents and students learned details of their week of service and had an opportunity to ask questions.
