Summer Begins Now At La Salle
Mission and Ministry kicked off it's 2018 Summer Service Immersion Program with its annual parent and student information night.
Tuesday Night, October 24th, La Salle College High School kicked off it's 2018 Summer Service Immersion Program with its annual parent and student information night. The several hundred people in attendance were provided with an overview of this year's opportunities, the application process, and the opportunity to meet with individual faculty members to gain further insight into the specific trips for which they may have interest.
During the summer of 2017, over 300 members of the current Junior and Senior classes, which represents more than 50% of the eligible student body, participated in one of these voluntary service immersion trips.
This year's opportunities include: Puerto Rico, St. Lucia, Bolivia, Coachella Valley, Appalachia, The Blackfeet Nation, The Navajo Nation, Ireland, Chicago, Memphis, The Bronx, and Philadelphia.
With no mandatory service requirements, La Salle's program is designed to provide students with the opportunity to explore and grow in their faith and calling as Catholic Christians, through direct service and cultural immersion in the communities to which they travel.
