Varsity Soccer Team Wins Catholic League Championship

The Explorers defeated Roman Catholic 2-1 on Saturday, October 29th to win the PCL Championship.

The La Salle College High School Varsity Soccer Team defeated Roman Catholic 2-1 on Saturday, October 29th to win the Philadelphia Catholic League Championship.

The Explorers (16-1-3) were led by goalkeeper Brett Werner's 6 saves and 1st half goals by Mike D'Angelo and Zach Hogan. Jimmy Natale and Spencer Patton each added an assist.

This is the 8th PCL Soccer Championship for the soccer program (1993 - 1994 - 2000 - 2005 - 2006 - 2011 - 2012 - 2016) and the first for Head Coach Mr. Tom McCaffery '01.

La Salle will now face the winner of the Public League Championship Northeast on Thursday night 7 PM at Northeast High School in the PIAA District XII City Championship.
