Varsity Tennis Team Wins 10th Straight Philadelphia Catholic League Championship
The Explorers defeated Saint Joseph's Prep 4-1 to win the PCL Title on Tuesday, May 2nd.
The La Salle College High School Varsity Tennis Team continued a decade of dominance in the Philadelphia Catholic League with their 10th straight PCL Championship. The Explorers defeated St. Joe's Prep 4-1 with especially hard fought matches at 3rd singles and 2nd doubles.
Andrew Lutschaunig vs. Grant Bianchi 6-0, 6-1 (Win)
Jared Bunch vs. John Slota 4-6, 1-6 (Loss)
Michael DeAngelis vs. Mike Haley 7-5, 7-6 (Win)
Luke DeAngelis/Russell Newell vs. Colin Browning/Jack Crossed 6-0, 6-1 (Win)
Hugh Farris/Matt Bahr vs. Steve Yezzi/Russell Seneca 6-3, 5-7, 6-4 (Win)
La Salle moves on to the PIAA District 12/Philadelphia City Championship in search of their 6th consecutive trip to the PIAA State Playoffs. The match will be held Thursday, May 12th at 2:00pm at Abraham Lincoln High School.
