Monday evening at Neumann University, the La Salle College High School Boys Volleyball team captured its third consecutive Philadelphia Catholic League title. Facing the Vikings of Archbishop Wood, this third meeting of the two teams was a tight, back and forth battle.

The Explorers maintained a small lead throughout the first set to win it 25-22. The Vikings bounced back and took the second set 25-23 - the 1st set loss for La Salle in league play this season. The third set played out similar to the first, with La Salle grinding out another 25-22 win. In the decisive fourth set, the Explorers fought back from a 7 point deficit to end the match with a 28-26 victory.

This was La Salle's 4th Philadelphia Catholic League Championship in the five year history of PCL boys volleyball. This was La Salle's 2nd consecutive undefeated PCL season.

The Explorers look to make history by winning the school's first District Championship this Thursday at 2pm when they face Central High School at Abraham Lincoln High School.
