Water Polo Finishes 5th in PIAA State Tournament

Four Explorers were also named to the PIAA All-State Team.


Congratulations to the La Salle College High School Water Polo Team for going 2-1 in the PIAA State Championship tournament finishing in the top 5 for the season. The team recorded victories over Pennridge (15-7) and an upset victory over Souderton (13-12). The Explorers lone loss came to Cathedral Prep in the opener. The 5th place finish was the best finish for the Explorers since a 4th place finish in 2012.

Leading goal scorers for the team were senior Sean Finlay (11) and sophomore James McErlean (7). Michael Dougherty lead the team with 15 kick outs drawn and Bobby Halligan had 53 saves in goal.

Special congratulations goes to the players who were named to the Pennsylvania All-State Team.
