Anchor Danny Rovi earned an Emmy nomination in the talent category for the 4th straight year and our behind the scenes crew of producers and editors picked up nominations for the 5th consecutive year as well.
On April 17th, eight Engineering Concentration seniors presented their capstone projects to a panel of engineering mentors as well as interested parents and underclassmen.
Under the guidance of dedicated instructors and industry professionals, seven students showcased their innovative capstone projects, demonstrating their proficiency in various areas of IT, from networking to programming to data visualization and analysis.
As part of their capstone course experience, each student selected a project in a business field that held a special interest. Their project interests were wide ranging and varied.
Their capstone project is the final piece of a three-year pursuit of learning audio engineering and music production.
To prepare students for future presentations and adhere to best practices in media, the Digital Media Concentration Capstone Cohort was required to present their course projects to a small group of parents, teachers and mentors.
With the aim of fostering a deep understanding of health sciences and nurturing future leaders in the field, this program offers a comprehensive educational journey like no other. This new program, joins the 5 other concentrations currently available to our students.
WEXP Student Producers won Emmy Awards in the following categories: Sports, Editor, and Video Essay. Overall, students received 8 total nominations.
Students will learn in a project-based curriculum in our state-of-the-art audio production lab, will participate in internships and site visits at local recording studios, and will have opportunities to run sound independently in and outside of the classroom.
Powered by the WEXPtv Media Program and our Adobe Design Academy, the program will expose students to an assortment of careers in journalism, video production, social media, digital marketing, public relations, Esports, and various other iterations of content creation.
