GPS Program
MISSION
The Guiding their Path to Success (GPS) program started in the 2022-2023 school year through the generosity of an alum and his family to provide a personalized academic counselor for a select number of students each year.
Students in the GPS program are identified by their potential for growth through the support of the GPS Counselor in one-on-one meetings and in group settings with peers each week during lunch periods, free periods, as well as before and after school.
REASONING
We are committed to providing a Lasallian education that empowers students of all backgrounds to achieve their full potential. We believe in the inherent dignity of every person, and our Lasallian tradition emphasizes the importance of meeting students where they are and accompanying them on their journey towards becoming their best selves. By incorporating these teachings into our GPS program, we strive to create an environment that fosters academic excellence, personal growth, and spiritual development.
We recognize that students of diverse backgrounds bring with them gifts of unique perspectives from their life experiences and heritages. These young men enrich us, and we are committed to celebrating and nurturing them to find ways to impact and contribute to our school community.
student selection
Students are selected for this program throughout the admissions process by the Admissions Office and the GPS coordinator, Mr. Resch.
These selections are based on:
- Academic performance in middle school
- Performance on our Entrance Exam
- Recommendations from teachers and school leaders at their respective middle schools
