On the morning of graduation, all seniors should report to the Glaser Student Center no later than 11:30 a.m. The doors to the gymnasium where the ceremony will be held will also open for guests at 11:30 a.m. A ticket is required for entry into the Gymnasium, as seating is limited. For any/all guests who do not have a ticket, the auditorium will have seating for a live-streamed broadcast of the ceremony. Additionally, a free recording of the Graduation Ceremony will be mailed to each student.
Students should remember to bring your gown only, do not bring your cap! Under your academic gown, wear a light dress shirt and dark tie, dress pants, shoes and socks. NHS students should wear the gold stoles that they were given the day of graduation practice. Anyone who has received activity medals should wear them.
AFTER THE CEREMONY:
Students should report back to their homeroom as quickly as possible to receive your diploma.
NOTE: Diplomas will not be distributed to seniors who carry a failure for a final grade, who have outstanding financial obligations, or those who do not behave or dress appropriately during graduation.
Please also note the following, regarding tickets and gowns for graduation:
- Members of the Class of 2019 do not need tickets for themselves; tickets are provided for guests only.
- Due to occupancy regulations, there is a set # of total tickets available for each respective event. Therefore, all available tickets have been distributed evenly across all La Salle families.
- If a family is aware that they will not be using all of their tickets, we would ask that you return them to La Salle (Office of Academic Affairs) so that they might be provided to families who have a need for extra tickets.
- Please take the gown out of the packaging and try the gown on. The gown should be loose and sit around the mid-calf area. If there are any issues with your gown, please contact Mrs. Wheatley as soon as possible. Please do not wait until the day before graduation to raise any issues.
The cap is provided as a keepsake and should not be worn on the day of graduation.
