Class of 2029 Summer Program

 

The Class of 2029 Summer Program is designed to help boys entering 9th grade at La Salle review core content, practice skills, and adapt to a high school setting.

Classes will meet for three weeks Mondays thru Fridays from June 23-27, and July 7-18, 2025. There will be no classes the week of June 30-July 4.

Student will receive a roster with times and room locations for his one or two classes.

Cost: One Class: $325, Two Classes: $600

This course will prepare students for 9th grade by offering an overview of reading, composition, and vocabulary skills. Students will begin learning the tools to grasp critical thinking skills and text analysis through discussion and appropriate writing techniques.

 

 

 

Math Applications

  • 8:30-9:30 am
  • 9:40-10:40 am

Students will work on pre-algebra and algebra concepts such as fractions, integers, solving linear equations, graphing linear equations, and inequalities. This class will also explore a hands on application of the scientific method and is structured to prepare students for the demands of their first year in science and math.

 

 

 

Reading/Study Skills

  • 10:50-11:50 am

Students will be introduced to effective note-taking skills using various forms of literature including a novel, essays, and a dramatic play. Focus will also include sharpening reading comprehension skills by summarizing text passages along with discovering words in context.
