The JV Explorers opened up the season with a hard-fought victory at Haverford by the score of 46-40. The game was back and forth for 4 quarters, and the Explorers were able to hit some key free throws down the stretch to seal the victory. Liam O'Donnell and Jake TImby led the offense with 11 and 12 points respectively. Manny Freyre had 8 points and 3 assists, Shane Holland chipped in 6 points and 3 assists, and Matt Leaden netted 4 points and snagged 4 rebounds. Jack O'Malley had a nice game off the bench with great energy and provided 6 rebounds.
The Explorers gutted out another road victory at Archbishop Wood by a score of 47-45 in overtime. This was another back and forth game throughout, capped off by a Shane Holland layup with 5 seconds to go that sealed the game. The Explorers went 18-25 from the free line, keeping things close throughout the contest. Manny Freyre (13 points, 3 assists) and Shane Holland (14 points, 2 assists) lead the offense, while Pat Jennings (6 points, 6 boards) and Brett Mallee (5 points, 5 rebounds) provided great energy and defense down the stretch.
The Explorers were able to jump out early on Constitution, opening the game on a 16-2 run and never looked back. 9 Explorers tallied points in this game, with Jake Timby leading the way with 16 points, while Manny Freyre added 13. Mike DiPietro chipped in 8 points and 3 rebounds, and Gavin Mcade tallied 7 points and 3 rebounds. James Mangano had a nice game off the bench with 5 points as well.
The Explorers suffered their first loss of the season by a score of 51-42. The Explorers were plagued by costly turnovers throughout the game and could never get on track offensively. The balanced scoring attack was lead by Jake TImby (8 points), Shane Holland (7 points) and Jack O'Malley (7 points), while Manny Freyre and Liam O'Donnell knocked down two 3's each en route to 6 points apiece.
The Explorers were able to overcome a sluggish start and 3 point halftime deficit to defeat visiting Malvern Prep by a score of 62-50. The Explorers were on fire in the second half, scoring 42 points. Jake Timby lead the offensive charge with 13 points, while Liam O'Donnell chipped in 12 points. Manny Freyre chipped in 8 points, while Gavin McDade (7 points, 5 rebounds) and Mike DiPietro (5 points, 6 rebounds) provided great interior play.
The Explorers jumped out early on MCS and never looked back, winning by a score 62-33. 12 different Explorers scored in the contest, lead by Shane Holland with 9 points, while Matt Leaden and Pat Jennings each dumped in 8 points off the bench. Brian Cawley also had a nice game off the bench with 7 points and 5 rebounds. Jake Timby, Liam O'Donnell, and Gavin McDade each chipped in 6 points as well in the win.
The Explorers were able to come away with another victory by a score of 47-21 over visiting Central High. Brett Mallee lead the offense with 5 steals and 9 points, while Jake Timby netted 7 points, and Manny Freyre/Shane Holland/Mike DiPietro/Brian Cawley each had 5 points.
The Explorers were able to come away with their first PCL victory of the season over visiting Lansdale Catholic by a score of 56-32. Marvin Harrison lead the Explorers with 14 points and 4 rebounds, and Shane Holland chipped in 11 points. Liam O'donnell chipped in 8 points, while Gavin McDade added 7 points and 4 rebounds, and Jake Timby netted two threes en route to 6 points.
The Explorers started the game on a 20-5 run and never looked backed, beating visiting Conwell Egan by a sore of 72-27. Pat Jennings (12 points, 6 rebounds) and Jake Timby (8 points, 3 assists) lead the offense, while 10 other Explorers all tallied points. Manny Freyre, Marvin Harrison, and Gavin McDade each had 8 points off the bench, while Mike DiPietro and Liam O'Donnell each had 6 points.
The Explorers were able to jump out early and never looked back against host Holy Ghost Prep. After a 0-0 tie for the first 3 minutes of the game, the Explorers were able to lead wire-to-wire, lead by Shane Holland who notched 12 points and grabbed 5 rebounds. Liam O'Donnell chipped in 9 points while James Mangano netted two threes en route to six points. Brian Cawley had a nice game off the bench with 4 points and 5 rebounds. Jack O'Malley and Gavin McDade had nice defensive games, each snagging 5 boards in the win.
The Explorers were able to use a great first half defensive effort and hold off visiting Carroll by a score of 53-49. Manny Freyre (12 points, 3 assists) and Marvin Harrison (10 points, 7 rebounds) paced the offense. Jake Timby and Gavin McDade both chipped in 7 points off the bench while Liam O'Donnell netted 5.
The Explorers were unable to overcome a slow, sloppy start and suffered their first PCL loss to host Cardinal O'Hara. After trailing as many as 19, the Explorer were able to erupt for 31 points in the 4th quarter, but it was not enough as O'Hara did not allow the Explorers to get a shot off on their last possession. Marvin Harrison lead the offense with 14 points and 5 rebounds, while Liam O'Donnell and Shane Holland both chipped in 11 points.
The Explorers suffered their second straight loss to visiting Wood by a score of 55-47. After another slow start, the Explorers showed tremendous fight, but could never get over the hump as Wood made some timely free throws down the stretch. Marvin Harrison lead the offense with 16 points and 5 rebounds. Mike DiPietro also chipped in 11 points and 5 rebounds, while Joey Dempsey had a nice game with 8 points and 3 assists.
The Explorers were able to claw back after a 20-8 start and force overtime vs visiting Neumann-Goretti, but the late rally was not enough. Marvin Harrison once again lead the offense with 21 points and 5 rebounds, while Liam O'Donnell netted three threes en route to 9 points. Trey Holland had a nice game off the bench with 8 points and Jake Timby netted 6.
The Explorers were able to overcome a back and forth first half, and seized control with a 22 point third quarter, in a much needed road victory over host Bonner Prendie by a score of 58-49. Joey Dempsey had a nice game with 11 points, 3 assists, and 3 rebounds, while Marvin Harrison chipped in 8 points, 3 rebounds, and 3 steals. Jake Timby had a nice game off the bench with 13 points and 2 steals. Liam O'Donnell netted 8 points and Shane Holland contributed 6 points.
The Explorers come back effort fell just short at host Bishop McDevitt, by a score of 49-44. Pat Jennings lead the charge with 14 points and 4 rebounds while Liam O'Donell contributed 8 points and Jack O'Malley/Shane Holland each had 7.
The Explorers were able to rally late after facing a 10 point second half deficit, and defeated host Roman Catholic by a score of 54-47. The Explorers cashed in on 16-17 free throws throughout the game. Shane Holland lead the offense with 14 points, while Jake Timby had 8 points off the bench and Manny Freyre had some timely buckets en route to 9 points. Pat Jennings controlled the glass with 9 rebounds.
After a back and forth game throughout, the Explorers could not connect on a few good looks late in the 4th quarter, and fell to host SJP by a score of 45-42. Mike DiPietro lead the offense with 10 points and 3 rebounds, while Jack O'Malley and Liam O'Donnell both contributed 8 points. Pat Jennings had 7 points and 5 rebounds in the loss. a

The Explorers got down early in this one and were able to cut it to 3 late, but could never get over the hump, and fell to host Father Judge. Mike DiPietro lead the offense with 9 points, while Liam O'Donnell contributed 8. Pat Jennings had 7 points and 5 rebounds.
After trailing by 7 at halftime, the Explorers rallied to win their final regular season game by a score of 51-42 over visiting Archbishop Ryan. The Explorers held the Raiders to just 12 second half points. Manny Freyre lead the offense with 14 points while Liam O'Donnell poured in 10. Jake Timby had 9 third quarter points to help seal the victory. Mike DiPietro had 6 points and 7 rebounds. The Explorers finished 14-7 overall, 7-6 in PCL play.
