MEET ISAIAH

Q & A

Q What is your favorite memory at La Salle?

A I had torn my meniscus and ACL playing sports and I was very upset about it. I loved playing and not being able to really brought me down. But after it happened everyone on campus was so supportive. My coaches, my teachers, my teammates. They made me feel like everyone had my back. They were like family to me and it made the pain a lot easier.

Q What was your overall experience at La Salle like?

A I transferred in as a sophomore. It was a big change because I had never had religion implemented into my daily life as well as a variety of clubs & activities. I thought it would be challenging, but it turned out to be amazing and it changed my perspective on everything in life, from my friends to my community.

Q What did you love most about going to school at La Salle?

A I love the network and family atmosphere at La Salle. Before I attended La Salle, I thought I would feel like an outsider. However, this was not the case since everyone was so welcoming and La Salle immediately felt like a home. Even the Alumni reached out to me. People had open arms and this made me feel comfortable from the start, even as a transfer student.

Q Has La Salle set you up for your future endeavors? How so?

A Absolutely. My biggest take away from La Salle is to always keep your options open. They taught me that sometimes things might not go exactly the way I need or want it to go, and they taught me the imporatnce of having a back up plan keeping an open mind to other options. I play a lot of sports, and I'd love to play professionally, but because of La Salle I know I can’t put all of my eggs into one basket, so I have other plans now for my future beyond just playing sports.
