Senior Retreat/KAIROS
Junior and seniors have the option of participating in one of our six Kairos retreats or a one-day retreat, all of which are held off campus. The Kairos retreats take place over three days and two nights. The Greek word Kairos means “special time of the Lord.” It is a unique opportunity for our seniors to grow in faith, as well as grow as a senior class.
KAIROS
Kairos is a three-day, two-night retreat held several times throughout the school year. The students and their leaders spend “special time” with the Lord, reflecting on their relationship with God, self, and others. The retreat is led by faculty/staff and student volunteers.
If you have any special prayer intentions for our retreatants, please e-mail them to Kairos@lschs.org no later than the Monday before the scheduled Kairos departure.
If you have any questions regarding Kairos, please contact kairos@lschs.org.
Junior Retreat
Junior Retreat
Juniors have two choices for their retreat.
Fratelli Retreat
Fratelli is a two-day, one-night retreat focusing on choices and relationships. The name of the retreat is the Italian word for Brothers – stressing the relational aspect of the retreat. It also references the name of Pope Francis’ encyclical Fratelli Tutti, which references The Good Samaritan – the central Gospel for the retreat. Retreatants will focus on their choices and how they have impacted their relationship with themselves, others, and God.
This experience is led by faculty/staff and senior student leaders. Students leave for retreat at 3:15pm and return by 2:30pm the following day.
One-Day Retreat
This retreat is a one-day retreat that takes place off campus during the second semester. Students leave after homeroom and return to La Salle by 2:30PM. The theme is also choices/relationships as it fits in with the junior religion curriculum in Christian Morality.
