Speech & Debate
Established in 1979, The La Salle Forum was granted a School Charter by the National Forensics League (now the National Speech & Debate Association). Since then, the team has been dedicated to helping students develop communication, leadership, and critical thinking skills. Through participation in speech, debate, and student congress, members are empowered to explore topics they care about, learn to argue from multiple perspectives, and compete at the local, regional, and national levels.
La Salle Speech and Debate offers a full range of competitive events in speech, debate, and student congress. The team travels across the country to tournaments in major cities and competes in the Pennsylvania High School Speech League (PHSSL), the National Catholic Forensic League (NCFL), and the National Speech & Debate Association (NSDA).
