EITC & OSTC Tax Credits

• The EITC/OSTC programs enable the business you own or work for to redirect state tax dollars to La Salle College High School.
• Funds received under these programs provide need-based tuition assistance to students at La Salle College High School.
• Individuals can also direct their personal PA tax liability to La Salle by joining a Special Purpose Entity through a partner organization.

• 75% of your contribution to La Salle College High School will go as a tax credit for your business or personal tax liability.
• This increases to 90% if you agree to contribute the same amount for 2 years.

EITC and OSTC tax credits can be used for any of the following tax categories:

• Corporate Net Income Tax
• Capital Stock/Foreign Franchise Tax
• Bank Shares Tax
• Title Insurance & Trust Company Shares Tax
• Insurance Premiums Tax (excluding unauthorized, domestic/foreign marine)
• Mutual Thrift Institutions Tax
• Malt Beverage Tax
• Personal Income Tax
• Surplus Lines Tax
• Personal PA Tax Liability

The following business ownership structures can utilize tax credits as pass through for their personal income tax liability:

• S corporations
• General Partnerships
• Limited Partnerships
• Shareholders, Partners or Members of S Corporations
• Single member of Limited Liability Company (LLC)

• Applying to become an EITC/OSTC contributing business is easy! Applications are submitted online via a single application. There's no long paperwork to fill out or forms to be sent in.

• To participate by utilizing your personal PA tax liability, please contact Chris Swain in the Office of Institutional Advancement at 215-402-4813.

1. Submit the Electronic Single Application. This one application is used when applying for either EITC or OSTC tax Credits.
2. Await approval, which could take up to six weeks.
3. Make donation to LSCHS.
4. LSCHS sends confirmation receipt to donor company.
5. Donor company sends receipt back to State.
6. Final confirmation letter from state is received and attached to company’s tax return.

If your business is filing for its second year of a 2-year commitment, or you have finished your 2-year commitment and wish to reapply to renew, you can file beginning May 15.

If you are a new applicant for the EITC/OSTC programs, please fill out the online application and submit it on Tuesday, July 1. Historically, all new funding is exhausted by the first day of applications, so it is imperative to apply promptly.

In conjunction with the organization Business Leadership Organized for Catholic Schools (BLOCS), individuals can join a Limited Liability Company (LLC) and divert their personal PA tax liability to La Salle in the form of EITC/OSTC dollars. With a 2-year commitment, individuals joining an LLC receive tax credits equaling 90% of their contribution.
